About us

For more than fifty years, my partner and I lived and worked across South East Asia, countries such as Papua New Guinea, Singapore, Sarawak, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, and places beyond in Libya and England. I am a Scotswoman and my partner is Swiss and we now live in Austalia.

Our involvement with Southeast Asian antiquities and collectibles began in Singapore over 53 years ago. While we never intended to become experts or build such an extensive collection, our inventory grew piece by piece. These items were sourced from remote Southeast Asian markets, small villages, and established art dealers. Every piece in our collection was chosen because it resonated with us.

We have never maintained a traditional storefront. By operating outside the traditional retail space, we have focused entirely on the historical significance and aesthetic integrity of each of the pieces we have acquired, of course some more significant than others.

Now retired, we’ve turned our attention from gathering to stewardship. This website is our way of honouring the stories behind the pieces we have lived with for decades and others for just a couple of decades. All of our Burmese Buddha statues we acquired in Myanmar between Yangon, Mandalay and Rakhine.

Here, you’ll find a growing gallery of our collection of rare Buddhist iconography, Asian antiques and vintage items, Burmese and Tibetan Buddhist manuscripts and a small collection of Chinese Ceramics and Chinese mingqi objects as well as other vintage collectibles.

This space is part gallery, part archive, part personal history. It reflects a lifetime of curiosity, learning, and quiet devotion to the beauty of Asian art and its culture. We hope you enjoy exploring it as much as we’ve enjoy building it.

Some of the items that we have collected over our lifetime such as the Indonesian Keris, Buddhist manuscripts and Items from China are yet to come.

We will be continually adding items over time.
