Burmese Handicrafts
Our collection of Burmese handicrafts captures the rich folkloric and religious traditions of Myanmar through traditional decorative carvings. These pieces include carved marble figures and bronze monk figures, carved wooden Nat spirit figures representing pre-Buddhist animist beliefs, and intricate decorative wood carvings such as the highly decorated home shrine and wall hangings.
Traditional craftspeople shaped these objects using local timbers and marble, applying layers of natural lacquer, gold leaf, and vibrant mineral pigments.
Whether you collect folk art, ritual objects, or fine woodcarvings, these works offer a direct window into the artistic heritage of Myanmar.
This collection of handicrafts is still growing, over time we will be adding more Burmese Nat statues, beautiful carvings and monk statues in marble and bronze and other .
